Annotation:
In the article, the authors consider the dynamics of the main indicator characterizing dairy farming in
the Orenburg region, while the main methods of cognition were tabular and graphical, as well as correlation
and regression analysis. The application of this toolkit to official statistics allowed us to draw the following
conclusion - during the period 1990-2018 there is a significant decrease in the number of cattle, which
negatively affected the volume of milk produced; an econometric modeling of dynamics based on the hyperbolic function indicates stabilization of the levels of the time series of milk yields, but the trend of the last
three years signals a deterioration in the situation and the emergence of a decreasing linear trend.
