The article is devoted to the study of foreign experience in tax regulation of the economy. The proposals on the use of effective methods of tax regulation of economies of developed foreign countries are given. In most developed countries, a direct tax system with a progressive scale of tax rates prevails, in connection with which a grouping of countries by the level of state influence on economic development indicators is proposed.
