The article investigates the problem of natural forestation of agricultural lands on the example of the territory of Samara region. Prolonged (10-15 years) cessation of cultivation leads to overgrowth of fields. Thus there are problems of transfer of the earths from a category of agricultural appointment in a wood fund.
