The article analyzes the current state of underwriting in Russia and explores factors that have a negative impact on the process of its development. Financial services provided by Russian companies have significant differences in quantitative and qualitative indicators from similar in content transactions conducted in European countries. This was directly affected by the underdeveloped infrastructure, relatively little experience in professional activities in the securities market and difficulties in adapting foreign experience to the domestic realities of the stock market.
